Topic  Intelligent storage on synthetic DNA for archiving images and digital videos.

Keywords : Image and video coding, DNA

Eva Gil San Antonio received her engineering diploma in Biomedical Engineering from the Industrial Engineering Department at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain in 2017. In 2017 she started a two-year Master's program in Data Science by EIT Digital Master School: 1st year at Polytechnic University of Madrid in Spain and 2nd year at University of Nice Sophia Antipolis in France, where she did her internship in the I3S laboratory working on the team of Mediacoding on the topic of “DNA for cold data archiving: using Machine Learning for robust decoding”. Currently she is a PhD student of the Mediacoding Team working on the subject “Intelligent storage on synthetic DNA for archiving images and digital videos” as part of OligoArchive European project, under the supervision of Marc Antonini. This thesis aims to explore the use of the DNA as a mean of long-life digital data storage achieving high data compression due to the DNA’s biological properties.
